Which would you recommend for working out at the gym, an iPod Nano 2nd generation or Shuffle 3rd generation? - refurbished gym equipment

Apple sells 2nd Generation Nanos renovated and I think, to one with a bracelet or the last use shuffle, when I'm in the gym. What do you recommend and why? Thank you.
